Description:
‘Raksha’ means protection and ‘Bandhan’ means bond. Thus ‘Raksha Bandhan’ means the ‘Bond of Protection’.
A special assembly was conducted on 25th Aug 2018 by the students of STD I-‘J’ and STD II-‘E’. Highlighting the importance of this festival and hence followed by the colourful song and dance. As well as electrifying group dance performed by the student of III-‘B’ and III-‘C’ . Sneha Patel delivered a very informative speech on Raksha Bandhan. As we know this the festival which celebrates the eternal love between brothers and sisters. The assembly started with a couple of students coming up on the stage to explain the significance of ‘Raksha Bandhan’. Students were familiarised with the customs and rituals followed on this day.
Traditionally girls tie rakhis on the wrists of their brothers and offer sweets. In routine, the brothers promise protection and give their sister’s gifts as a taken off and give their sisters gifts as a taken of an everlasting bond.
The values of love and protection were sensitively portrayed by the students.
The students participated in great enthusiasm. In fact the little audience seemed very receptive indicating they enjoyed the assembly.
