Description: The much awaited Annual Sports Day was held on Saturday the, 25th of November upholding the aspect of sporting events, amidst great mirth and high energy highlighting its theme ‘NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE’. This day led each child in discovering their internal talent and spelling out-Nothing is Impossible, the word itself says I’m Possible’. The participants were all ready to ensure a flawless gala event brimming with excitement and determination. The Chief Guest for the occasion Rev Dr Father Raymond lauded the efforts of the students for their performance in the March Past and appreciated the discipline and uniformity displayed by each of them. He declared the Sports Meet open by releasing the balloons which symbolized the determination of each Karenite to fly beyond the strata of impossibility. Through the Opening Dance Drill the students of Std.I and 2 splashed their vibrancies and hues and painted the empty canvas with unlimited possibilities. This was the masterpiece beginning of the event that enthralled the audience as their continued echoes of ‘Nothing is impossible’ touched every corner of the sports field.. The sporting events began with the Lilliputians who took up the challenging task of Balancing the Ball with great determination and spirit and turning the wheel of impossibility in their favour. The Fun Races – Junior Marathon and Fishing for a Big catch added more exuberance especially when the participants were dressed as junior marathon runners and Marathi Fisher Folk . The ‘Sporty Girls Drill’ was a treat for the eyes. It stimulated the theme ‘Nothing is Impossible’ and conveyed the message that our zealous girls armoured with their talent are ready to take on the world as champions– be it in a boxing ring or the hockey or cricket field. Everywhere and anywhere they see a possibility and add their names to the Hall of Fame. The Sports day presented by SKMS also gave us a glimpse of the challenges which our little ones foresee as the students of Std.I took the initiative to fulfil the dreams of Mahatma Gandhi by participating in keeping India Clean. It made the spectators realize that a sense of responsibility has been evoked among these little champs and Bapu’s dream has begun to take shape. Students of Std.II left no stone unturned and ran with their might following Swami Vivekananda’s footsteps “Stop not till the Goal is reached”. The girls and boys of Std.III & IV competed with each other in 100m and 200m flat races with zeal and ardour striving to win glory for themselves and their respective houses. The participants of the Green house mustered their guts in the 4x50m relay to change it into glory. The little Warriors of Std.III & IV believe that impossible is only a word and not a situation. They posed to be the knights of virtue trying to overcome their worldly fear ego, hesitation and even their subdued personality to become worthy people and enlighten others as they showcased their Sword Drill to perfection. The Grand Finale hit a new line with so many children participating in the mass drill. As India has always been a believer of unity in diversity the Karenites put on a sterling show thus bringing the curtain down on a successful event leaving everyone with the message-Don’t be afraid to dream of achieving the Impossible!
