Description: The management, teachers, staff and students of St. Karen’s School are all proud to be citizens of India and feel responsible to celebrate the most glorified day of our Indian history Independence Day. So like every year this year also great celebrated our 72nd Independence Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. The anchors- Sarvasva (S.K.C.S. - V E) and Apurva (S.K.M.S. – III F) took us all into a mesmerising journey of Indian freedom movement. The programme started with march past by the students council members and flag hoisting by our beloved Headmistress Mrs. L.B. Galstaun. The students of Std.-II (S.K.M.S.), they presented a patriotic song which filled our hearts with patriotism followed by a group dance presented by the students of Std.-I and 2(S.K.M.S.). The students of Std.-III (S.K.M.S.) presented the hanging scene of Bhagat Singh and we all learnt about his bravery. Then followed a speech by Kumari Sheetal of VE- S.K.C.S. The students of Std.-III(S.K.M.S.) gave the message to the world – “East or West, India is the best” through their group dance. Students of Std.-I, II and III (S.K.C.S.) put forward a medley which comprised of many patriotic songs with the different glimpses of India. Students of Std.-IV and V presented their group dance. The programme came to an end again with a patriotic song by the students of Std.-II (S.K.C.S.).
