Description: The Founders of St. Karen’s Mr. D.P Galstaun and his wife Mrs. L.B Galstaun, were honoured with a ‘PLAQUE OF RECOGNITION’ by Help Age India at the “INTERNATIONAL DAY OF OLDER PERSONS’ event held on 30th September 2022. The token of appreciation was handed over to them at a formal function held at the CD Deshmukh Auditorium, India International Centre, Max Mueller Marg, New Delhi. The organisation appreciated the efforts of the students of St Karen’s group of schools in collecting funds and organizing events on ageing. They also expressed their gratitude to the teachers of the schools who have been collaborators to the effort as they have been actively involved in the SAVE-Student Action for Value Education program. The 1st of October has been recognised worldwide by the United Nations as the ‘International Day of Older Persons’ and we at St Karen’s through our humble efforts are privileged to show our solidarity towards this cause . We are grateful to our Parents, Guardians and Teachers for helping us to inculcate the values of respect, love, and care for the elderly among our younger generation and thus developing socially responsible citizens of the future. In the photo Mr. Galstaun is seen receiving the award from Mr. Rohit Prasad, CEO of Help Age India and Ms. Rumjhum Chatterjee, Vice Chairperson of Help Age India. Mr. and Mrs. Galstaun are seen in another Photo with Ms. Rina Soni, Country Head-Resource Mobilisation and Marketing of Help Age India.
